Reading to Sick Kids
Saturday, January 2, 2010 @ 7:03 p.m.
I applied to read to kids at Sick Kids hospital and today I just did my phone interview. This is my second phone interview in my entire life. My first one was with Alan for the lifeguarding job over the summer. It wasn't hard at all. In fact, it didn't even feel like an interview at all. So I guess I sort of underestimated this one.I don't know how well I did... he asked me to tell the Cinderella story on the spot. Like... WTF?! How the hell do I do that?! Then he asked me to make voices for a mouse, a big old man, and just a funny reading voice in which he commented sounded like a homosexual. DUDE. LITTLE BOYS HAVE HIGH-PITCHED VOICES, OKAY?! I don't know, he laughed throughout the whole thing. I don't think I did so well... I admit that I did sound very nervous so I don't know how that would reflect my qualification. He asked me how comfortable I am in front of the camera and I said YOUTUBE and he laughed. Dude, this guy just laughed through my whole interview. I feel like I did horrible. He also said that he can't write me a reference letter. So I'm a little bummed out. I'm going to put a lot of effort into this. I hope I'm chosen *crosses fingers* This will be my first hospital volunteer experience even though I'm not really doing any important hospital work. BLAH. Pray for me. |

introduction
I live in complete chaos. Too much work. Too much fun. And too little time to myself. Dramas, movies, music, dance and art take over a big portion of my life. But my time is divided upon science. I want to become a doctor. Of some kind. Change the world. *enter cliche moment* Yes, sorry. I don't believe art can change the world. I think art people come up with excuses to make their jobs seem more worthwhile and meaningful. Just kidding... I don't know what else to write here, but to be honest, I can never fully describe myself because I'm just... disarray of... stuff. |
